International dinner !

Hi everyone !

Yesterday I hadn't time to write in here (I'm sorry!) because I has invited to an International Dinner !! I went and I loved it ! The dinner was cooked my many different people and each person cooked a tradicional plate of his country. So there were many different flavours to taste ! It has a Bulgarian salad, a Spanish omelet, some Norwegian fish fingers, a Venezuelan salad, an Indian spicy food and a Chinese plate. I tryed most of them and they're really good ! So it was a nice internatinal night, in which I had time to pratice my English but also my Spanish.
Now it's almost 9:30 in Stockholm and here I am in my university campus waiting to get my keys to my new room in Kungshamra ! So as soon as I get there I will tell you evrything !

Ontem nao tive tempo para escrever aqui porque fui convidada para um Jantar International !! Eu fui e simplesmente adorei! O jantar foi cozinhado por varias pessoase cada pessoa cozinhava um prato tipico do seu pais. Por isso havia uma salada da Bulgaria, uma omelete Espanhola, alguns douradinhs da Noruega, uma salada da Venezuela, dois pratos de comida indiana picante e um prato Chines. Eu provei a maior parte deles e estavam todos optimos ! Ou seja, foi uma noite international em que tive tempo para practicar o meu ingles mas tambem o meu espanhol,
Agora sao quase 9:30 em Estocolmo e aqui estou eu no xampus da minha universidade a espera para receber as chaes do meu novo quarto! Por isso assim que la chegar vou-vos contar tudinho !

I lost my white scarf

Hi !!
As I promised yesterday I'm going to show you the proof that Swedish love gummies. So I'm going to tell the story. Yesterday I went to the supermarket to buy one yogurt and then I found the gummies! I was expecting to find gummies but I wasn't expecting to find such a great quantity and variety...

Como prometido hoje vou mostrar-vos a prova que os suecos adoram gomas. Para isso vou-vos contar a história. Ontem fui ao supermercado comprar um iogurte e depois encontrei as gomas, claro! Eu já estava à espera de encontrar gomas, não estava era à espera de encontrar uma quantidade tão grande nem de tanta variedade...

So now I can tell my day. Today I decided to sightsee Stockholm by boat because it was sunny ! At 12:00 I was in the queue to buy the tickets for the 12:30 boat but the tickets were already all sold, so the only tickets available were for the 16:30 boat. While I was waiting I had luch nearby and I have been in a beautiful garden. 

Agora sim posso contar-vos o meu dia. Hoje decidi ir ver Estocolmo de barco porque estava um sol maravilhoso! Ao meio-dia lá estava eu na fila para comprar os bilhetes para o barco das 12h30, mas os bilhetes já estavam esgotados, e os únicos bilhetes disponíveis eram para o barco das 16h30. Enquanto esperava almocei ali perto e estive a apanhar solinho num jardim lindíssimo.

But unhappilly the sun doesn't always shine so when it decided not to shine I missed my scarf. I searched for it however I wasn't able to find it. That's when it became clear that I had lost my white scarf... 

Mas o sol não brilha sempre e quando ele decidiu deixar de brilhar senti falta do meu lenço. Eu procurei e voltei a procurar, no entanto não o consegui encontrar. Foi aí que se tornou claro que  tinha perdido o meu lenço branco...

Finally when the boat was almost arriving I became friend of a duck (just kidding!).

Finalmente quando o barco estava quase a chegar fiquei amiga de um pato (estou a brincar claro!).

What about my sail trip? Well you will have to wait for tomorrow!

Today it rains (a lot!)

Hii !!
So today it rained (a lot) and I had to get my boots and my umbrella otherwise I would probably catch a cold.

Olá olá !!

Pois é hoje choveu (e muito!) e eu tive mesmo de ir buscar as minhas galochas e o meu guarda-chuva ou então arriscava-me a apanhar uma constipação.

As it raining today I decided to visit the "Vasamuséet" (Vasa Museum) where we can see the viking boat that sank on its' first trip (on August 1628) only 1500 metres away from the coast and that was then rescued 333 years after. The boat is wonderfully big and it's a real beautiful piece of art.

I bet I would be a great sailor (or maybe not!).

Também seria uma grande guerreira (ia sentar-me nos canhões e esperar que trabalhassem por si só!).

Como hoje estava a chover eu decidi ir visitar o "Vasamuséet" (Vasa Museum) onde podemos o barco viking que foi ao fundo na sua primeira viagem (Agosto de 1628) a uns escassos 1500 metros da costa e que foi resgatado 333 anos depois do incidente. O barco é extraordinariamente grande e é uma peça de arte muito bonita.

Well tomorrow I'm going to show the proof that Swedish really love gummies but now I'm going to start to do my own swedish dictionary where I'm going to write down the words which I start to understand.

Bem amanhã vou mostrar-vos a prova de que os Suecos gostam mesmo de gomas mas agora vou começar a fazer o meu próprio dicionário de sueco onde vou anotar as palavras que começo a decifrar!

Swedish love gummies (and so do I)

Hi !!
Today I started my day in the School of Business and I ended up walking around the campus and taking some photos near the river. I really think I'm going to love to study in such a place!

Olá !!

Hoje começei o meu dia na "School of Business" e acabei por dar uma voltinha pelo campus e tirar algumas fotografias ao pé do rio. Acho mesmo que vou adorar estudar num sítio como este!

On the afternoon I've been in the outside of the Royal Palace in Stockholm. It's very beautiful and has a wondeful view over a great avenue and the river. A real nice place to visit!

À tarde estive na parte de fora do Palácio Real em Estocolmo. É muito bonito e tem uma vista maravilhosa sobre uma grande avenida e, claro, sobre o rio. Um sítio muito simpático para fazer uma visitinha!

At the end of the day I went to Pizza Hut to eat a huge Cheeseham and a big ice-cream. That's when I got surpised! The ice-cream had sweet little gummies, mini marshmallows to be more specific. And I loved that because I love gummies so much! 

I had already noticed that in any store or supermarket that I entered there were always many boxes and which one contained a different type of gummies. Then I tought: " in Sweden gummies must be really popular because they're everywhere"... Now I believe I can say that Swedish love gummies.

No final do dia fui à Pizza Hut para comer uma enorme Cheeseham e um grande gelado. Foi aí que fiquei surpreendida! O gelado tinha pequenas gominhas, mini marshmallows para ser mais específica.  E claro eu adorei porque eu adoro gomas! 

Para dizer a verdade já tinha vindo a reparar que em todos as lojas ou supermercados em que entrava havia sempre várias caixas, cada uma com um tipo de gomas diferente. Aí eu pensei: " Na Suécia as gomas devem ser mesmo populares porque estão em todo o lado"... Agora acho que posso afirmar que os Suecos adoram gomas.

Just one more curiosity and I promise I will go to sleep then! I wanted to show you the bill of the restaurant because there's a funny thing about Sweden as well. Here we don't pay the water in restaurants. Actually it's very difficult to find a place where we can buy a bottle of mineral water. We usually only find sparkling water or flavoured water.

The water I was refering to is the item which price is 0,00 (in Swedish they say Isvatten Glas - glass of water).
A água a que me estava a referir é o item cujo preço é 0,00 (em Sueco eles dizem Isvatten Glas - copo de água).

Só mais uma curiosidade e depois prometo que vou dormir! Queria só mostrar-vos a conta do restaurante porque há um pormenor engraçado na Suécia. Aqui nós não pagamos a água nos restaurantes. Na verdade é bastante difícil encontrar um lugar que venda água mineral natural engarrafada. Usualmente eu só encontro água com gás ou com sabores.

2nd day in Stockholm - Discovering the Metro

Today I left the hotel with one propose - discover the "Universitet" !
1st Challenge - the Metro. 

Olá !!

Hoje saí do hotel com um propósito - descobrir a "Universitet" !

1º Desafio - o Metro.

I can say that at first it was not easy to understand the map or know where to go, but after a day of discovering the Metro, I've already memorized some stations!

2nd Challenge - discover the university itself.

Posso dizer que no princípio não foi fácil compreender o mapa ou para onde me dirigir, mas depois de um dia inteiro a andar de metro até já consegui memorizar algumas estações!

2º Desafio - descobrir a universidade. 

I am going to study in the School of Business of the Stockholm University, which is located in Kräftriket near to the river!

Eu vou estudar na "School of Business" da Universidade de Estocolmo, que fica em Kräftriket perto do rio!

3rd Challenge  - discover Kungshamra (the students' residence I am staying in) and learn how to say it! (it not easy believe me). 

Today I didn't take any photos of Kungshamra but when I move in (on Tuesday) I promise I will take some photos! However... I take some photos of Bergshamra (the city where Kungshamra is located).

3º Desafio - descobrir Kungshamra (a residência de estudantes onde eu vou ficar) e aprender como pronunciar a palavra! (acreditem que não é fácil).

Acabei por não tirar fotografias a Kungshamra mas quando me mudar para lá (na terça-feira) eu prometo tirar algumas fotografias! Mas... eu tirei algumas fotografias em Bergshamra (a cidade onde se localiza Kungshamra).
